At HICS, we know that parents and the community is an integral part of student success.
Communication via email, phone calls, meetings, websites and social media is shared to ensure that all parents are given the opportunity to help create a shared vision.
Continual Community Input
At HICS there will always be an avenue for the parents, students and community to be involved in the school process. The monthly permanent school board meetings will be announced one week before with the agenda items posted. It will be announced notices sent home with the students, via hardcopy postings in accessible areas, via social media, and through the schools website.
Parents will be given a Home-School Compact. This is an agreement of which the parent agrees to support the school by what is stated.
The HICS student handbook will also be shared. This packet will address the expectations of the school with principles concerning items such as dress code, electronic equipment, discipline process and a variety of policies and procedures.
