Welcome to Hawaii International Charter School or HICS. Every day the world is changing and we are seeing countries in Asia become more and more influential both economically and politically. With the global changes brought about by commerce and technology it is clear that our children need to be prepared academically and socially to exist and thrive in the 21st Century. The Public School Review calls for a need nationwide for public immersion Chinese language program that does not yet exist in Hawaii-We need your support to meet that need and be the FIRST Chinese Language Charter School in Hawaii.
We Need Your Help
Because Charter Schools are non-profit, we are looking for interested community members to join us in this effort. We are working from the grassroots level to secure such support as consulting, financial backing, a facility with parking areas, school furniture, technology and educational materials.

What Hawaii International Charter
School is all about
Our proposed charter school will provide the first tuition free Asian-focused curriculum in the State of Hawaii-HICS will:
• Provide the first tuition free Chinese Bilingual Education public charter school in the State of Hawaii, Teaching Chinese Mandarin as a second language.
• Start with elementary grades and expand yearly with a vision of developing a K-12 program.
• Include the U.S. National Common Core State Standards
• Get your child ready for the 21st Century Global Community
